This week saw me make the short journey up the motorway for my first visit to Rutland House Studio in Normanton for what was in fact also their first group shoot. I do enjoy getting out and about, seeing new studios and meeting new people which to me is part of the enjoyment of photography. This evening had an added bonus, not only did I get the opportunity to capture some first class images with our model for the evening Frankie Louise, I also got the chance for a catch up with studio owner Mike Jagger, who I had not seen for some considerable time.
No two studios are the same and that is part of the enjoyment for me. Travelling around and seeing all the different shapes and sizes of studios and coping with the individual challenges that each one offers.
Rutland House, which is a first floor apartment, has very much the feel of a home studio but offers several interesting shoot areas and there were some that I just didn’t get the time to explore on the evening. They will have to wait for another visit but take a look below and see just a few of the images from what was a very full and enjoyable evening.
