Taking to the Road

After what has been a very quite period with my camera over the summer months, it was all change in August when I was on the road with visits to Barlow Studio in Chesterfield and MAP Studio in Loughborough as well as managing to fit in a couple of shoots back at JFYP Studio.

My first visit was to Barlow where a number of us gathered to remember a good friend, Bill Machray, who sadly passed away earlier this year. I’m sure Bill would have approved of our “studio day” and the event raised just short of £1,000 for Ashgate Hospice where Bill was so well looked after in his last few weeks.

Claire and Maria were just two of the models attending and I managed to get a few shots with them during the day.

Next it was off down to MAP Studio for a shoot with Alice Katz. Something of a change for me as Alice specialises in Pinup modelling which isn’t something I’ve spent a lot of time shooting, but I did have some ideas I wanted to try out and I was quite pleased with the results. In fact I was so pleased that we have invited Alice up to JFYP Studio where we are putting on a Pinup workshop. Below are just a few of my favourites from the day at MAP.

Then it was back home and the welcome return of Carla Monaco. Carla has been a regular visitor to JFYP Studio since we opened and it is always a pleasure to see her. I usually manage a few shots on the day a here are just a few from the day.

So that’s it for now but there’s much more to come. There are quite a few events in the planning stage at the moment so do keep checking back. Look under the Studio Events button for a complete breakdown of what is coming up. Oh, and if you would like to come along to any of the events, please book early as they can fill very quickly.
